Students must be at least 2 years of age to attend The Montessori School of Washington.
We offer rolling admissions (space permitting) throughout the year, giving parents more flexibility when enrolling their children at the school. You don't need to wait until the beginning of the school year in September. When enrolling mid-year, application and enrollment forms should be submitted a week after attending the Open House, along with the application fee and enrollment fee, to secure your child’s space in the program. The administration will invoice for the cost.
The Montessori School of Washington (MSOW) has been approved to accept childcare subsidy (voucher) payments instead of tuition. Eligible families must apply and be approved by the Child Care Services Division of the Department of Human Services. MSOW is committed to broadening access for families who might otherwise not be able to afford a high-quality Montessori preschool experience. For this reason, 25% of MSOW families will receive tuition relief. MSOW is listed in the My Child Care DC directory under our business name, “The Montessori School of Washington.”
To support our military families, we continue to receive fee assistance payments from Child Care Aware and the Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MCCYN)
TUITION FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR 2024-2025
Toddlers (2 - 3 Years Old)
5 Half Days (M-F 8 am-12 pm): $17,924
5 Full Days (M-F 8 am-3 pm): $20,639
3 Full Days (MWF 8 am-3 pm): $16,838
Primary Program (3 - 6 Years Old)
5 Half Days (M-F 8 am-12 pm): $16,838
5 Full Days (M-F 8 am-3 pm): $19,553
Payments can be made in full, semi-annually, or monthly (10% fee)
Late Pick-Up: Fees for late pick-up are due upon receipt and are assessed as follows: $10.00 for the first ten minutes. $2.00 for each minute afterward. Aftercare dropoff (for one day) is $35.
We do not offer make-up day(s) for holidays, emergency closures, snow days, or MSOW professional days. In case of illness or planned absences such as family vacations, The Montessori School of Washington does not issue credit days or refunds. We also request that you notify the School as soon as a child's inability to attend is established.
School FORMS 2024-2025
A $60 non-refundable Application fee, submitted along with an Enrollment Form, is required to secure your child's space in the program. There is a $350 non-refundable Enrollment fee. MSOW will invoice electronically.

Aftercare is available for all students and includes 5 days.
Aftercare hours:
3:00 pm -5:00 pm $750/month (flat-rate)
This is paid separately from tuition and is billed monthly. We do not offer refunds for missed days.
